The plynth that you mention might originally have been built to get the box up to a certain height. Don't forget these cabs were built for the cinama industry in the states many years ago. Strangly enough all cabs that end up on the floor in clubs and pubs could do with a plynth.

I second that, went to look at 2 pairs of 4530 scoops that had sat on the floor of an install for about 10 years, every time the cleaner had mopped the floor and sloshed water around,it had gradually rotted the bottom panels and de-laminated the ply on the sides and rear panels at the bottom...a right old mess.Plinth would have prevented that.
Be seeing you.

If you see any old footage of Barry White in concert, you will see some of these stacked right behind him on stage when he performs
only the scoops nothing else, interesting.

"yep, that guy on ebay tries to flog loads of old plans that have been available for free for years. "

Except the real JBL plans are not on line.

His plans look real, he even has the DCNs for the later 4560s.

He has lots of real hard-to-find JBL parts too.

He has actual plans for the 4560/4530/4520.

I have actual JBL plans for the 4550 (somewhere), they came from an ex-JBL employee.

If I wanted to build 4520s I would cough up the cash and get the real plans.
