alright guys.., just bought 2 PD2150's...  was gona knock up a pair of 21" superscoops of Rog's, but has anybody else got any ideas for a really great design for these drivers? I need plenty of SPL, a 21" version of the X1 maybe?   plans for 21" bass cabs seem to be difficult to find....

cheers lads..

I reckon it's worth trying a 21" X1, however from memory the PD2150 doesn't look so good in a 6th order bandpass.

Maybe a 21" version of the USB bin might be worth a go...

The PD2150 doesnt seem to like being in a BP6 box, why not try a BP4 style cab...something like a 21" version of the infrabass

a single turbo style 21" bin puts out a surprisingly large amount of competent bass, one a side under a pair or funktion rm15s sounded very good at 4dpa's newtonfest this year. there was another pair in use in the dance tent, but supplemented by an 18" and coresponding turbo, 811 is it? to emulate tms3 tops. again, very nice i thought. it's a box i'm sure would get used and justify the cost of materials and effort...

Or you could experiment with enlarging a HD15...

Try to get a pair of second hand A.S.S. cabs there are 4 different designs available Front horn loaded, rear horn loaded and 2 different reflex cabs. All built around the 2150.

cheers guys,,,  i was gona build a design for general purpose...  small PA aplications, 2 tops (1 x 1" comp & 2 x 10" mids) and maybe one of these 21's perside..  might knock up one of those X1 style bins and see how they perform..   only paid 160quid each for the drivers, so think i can afford to experiment on a few designs..Wink
