1500-2000 watt in a car, will it do damage to the battery or alternator? (car running)

In lab and mouse studies, the compound, known as THC, cut lung tumor growth in half and helped prevent the cancer from spreading, says Anju Preet, PhD, a Harvard University researcher in Boston

you will have to change the battery , idealy a 2nd one on split charge , i had a 2kw mastervolt in my van .. never had any alternator probs.. you will need a 220ah battery minimum

not that i've done this, but id suggest a good quality deep cycle battery like an optima yellow top on split charge with your standard battery (as stated).  otherwise your idle engine speed while parked up probably wont be running the alternator quick enough to keep up with the current requirements.  the optima will smooth this out and provide the continuous high currents when the alternator isnt spinning fast during idling.  two standard batteries wont give continuous current requirements over long periods and will probably feel the strain.  im guessing you are planning on having an amp rack running within the car to power a small rig?  a broom handle pushing the gas pedal is another option.

No it's a split charge relay so you have a main battery to start the car and another (leisure) battery to pump up the voulme (dance dance).

Should mean you never get caught out.  Dead cheap so they are (the relays)

there are alternatives to the optima yellow tops.  optima tend to be one of the more expensive brands.  you want a deep discharge type, with low internal resistance and high cranking ability.
