if the internal width is 650mm that menas overall its gonna be 686mm wide.  if you dorrway is 700mm wide, the door is 25mm wide then the opening is 675mm wide.

maybe its you that should be negative, about 12mm negative

Aren't standard doorways closer to 800mm?

Im not sure, awhile back i measured one to check whether i could get stuff in or out [after coner/mark built that cab that lived in the garden] and i seem to remember it being 700mm wide.

i could be wrong.

Anyway i was just trying to help, but it seems you dont need it

Levy, you should have proof read/seen it first by PM!

Tek, it is still on the drawing board. The "idea" was placed in New Projects forum for everyone to critique, comment, correct, modify, before it ever reached first prototype stage.

How come no one had any of this to say then?

As I stated couple of months ago, I had a couple of the forum scoop experts look at the idea before I dared post it. They said go ahead and try it. One of them even said try both short rear baffle and rear baffle + 100mm or so.

How helpful  of you to negatively comment on dimensions, when the guy has already cut the timber and started the build.

I did tell stephen it was an unproven, untested idea, not even prototyped. And not to build it. But he decided to anyway.

So as he is already building, I am trying to help him anyway I can. Maybe you should try that.

The pic hosting web site has squashed it.

The cab dims are approx 44"high by 27"wide.

Which is obviously not correctly proportioned in that pic.

well said, i am fully aware that this might now work at all, but the idea of building something that has never been done before appeals to me. every proven speaker design would not exist if someone hadn't taken a bit of a risk at some point... scoops are finished not will post pics tmrw when sanded and tested.

This episode is beginning to inspire me to correct the plan privately, and then just post pics and sell the cabs.
