As suggested previously, I would suggest you sell that driver, if intending to use Scoops.

This is a free plan, from the very generous "Mykey Wattco", that will work with many of the best Scoop drivers.

This Mod will increase the number of drivers that will sound good, in this cab.

https://forum.speakerplans.com/fane-scaled-up_topic74640_page6.html

"So by taking 450 and reducing it to 425mm will give you a bigger chamber and throat without messing with anything else. This would give you the sound that most scoop lovers are looking for these days

70 litres minus driver 18'' = roughly 11 litres would leave 59 litres and a throat size of 849

Chamber and throat are close to Wattco scoop territory"

So, maybe another question - what cabinet should I use for this RCF?

@levytout

of curiousity.
Why would that small descrease shift the 'boundary' for the chamber that much?

Was Mykey who originally stated this.

But would "imagine", reducing the rear baffle shifts the throat, and includes additional bit of chamber volume.

Do you not get the "strong hints", sir !?

For Dub Reggae, Scoops are one of the "optimal" cabs.

You have a great free design here.

Look for drivers, with BL, Vas, Qts, Qes similar to Void V18-1000,PD1850 MK2, PD1852, to use in this cab.

B&C 18TBX100 will also work, but won't be as loud, or as sturdy, as the above.

You're only decreasing the area through the bend by 0.02 litres, but there will be an increase in the compression ratio as this is in effect the throat for the horn.

Making a change to the coupling chamber adjusts the roll-off in the upper region of the horn's output, which will affect the summation (or cancellation) with the pressure directly radiating from the front of the driver. Often that's modelled as a series compliance, when in reality it's more of a transmission line which is affected by the driver's placement along the initial chamber.

Anyway, a key thing for 'scoops' is that the horn's geometry sizing parameters are pretty much uncoupled from the choice of driver, for an exponential flare profile. The primary factors are simply the desired cut-off frequency, and the amount of SPL increase desired over a simple direct radiator in an infinite baffle.

Contrary to popular opinion here, a scoop or rear-loaded horn is pretty well understood, acoustically. Part of the disconnect between sims and ‘perceived reality’ seems to be twofold - people rarely build what they simulate, and even more rarely qualify/refine the model with measurements of the box that's been built.

Anyway, that aside, this is a great resource in fairly plain English for this type of box:
