I never see any problems with putting most cabs with most others, it's only a question of coherence, which can be sorted with most LMS's

MA215s and WSX are cabinets from different eras of touring and install sound reinforcement so it is very doubtful that they have ever been used together--as Tony says, you could line them up with a decent 8 output LMS anyway.

Sure, sure.. Im just looking for more than a good bin to line up with the martins, im more after the magic touch, the holy grail of the MA215mk11 kick bin. Not doubting that they wouldnt sound great together, but i know there must be some one/ones on here that has tried and found a great sub to match the martins.

For reasons that Robbo mentioned, you might not get any answers. Back in the days when there were buckets loads of these about, these cabs were the low end, with nothing underneath them, and because larger PA companies used them, they were using more than one per side, so low end would never have been an issue. Nowadays, when people get these cabs they tend to use them in the way it was intended.
The only subs I've ever seen underneath these cabs in a "Sound System" have been 18" Scoop Bins.

Hmm i see your point! Guess i will have to go and try something out and see if its works.. I got quite hooked on the WSX today but theres still quite some time before my sporadic mind has to make a choice. Just need to find some more subs for hear..
Any favored horn loaded subs?? Right now there running with 4 hog scoops underneath, sounds fantastic for roots! The punch from the martins joins quite nicely with the hogs punch. Now we want to build something a bit more tight and for a wider set of uses... Peace & Love |
