Reflex is the way to go and in keeping with the rest of the system. I have a bunch of 4645a loaded with 2242H's that sound lovely and do the business down loooow :D

FLH?

If you could make some foldable barn doors / horn path then that would help with the portability....

i been thinking about making something like this to go on a miniature long folded horn i had made by stable audio.

@sam,  I agree, the 2242's are some of the best sounding 18's imo.  my only concern is the price of these units...  and their lack of availability on the preowned market

Ah true that, but considering you found the rest of the system, they shouldn't be too much of a hassle :p

PS - Having been doing quite a few cinema jobs I'll let you know the next time I pull some out :)

yes please mate!  even 2241's or 2240's  in any impedance, h/j/g , whatever.  There is a pair of 2240's on ebay but he has priced them unrealistically.

video of the rig at Sunrise Off-Grid festival in the summer.

since then we have acquired some 18" JBL 2242H drivers to handle the lows from now on.  probably building some big long horns for them (like the ASH6118).

Rich just out of interest does the crossover your using on this system have the eq curve for the CD horn?

hi colin.  it does not.  but I amp boosting the highs (3 band per channel) on the mixer by about 3db and then notching down the gain on the amplifier.   this year I will integrate a mono 31 band eq (system runs mono) to allow a bit more tweekability and room for the recommended CD curve application.
