Hi Robbo, I don't think the 1550 Sims up as well. I do believe the bottom one is a copy. The top two are originals as they had the original badges on the horn mouth sides.


Althouuugghhhhhh that said Robbo, you might be right, looking at the ones on the original whitesheet, it appears my bottom one is an original and the top two are very good copies Sleepy The bottom one feels alot heavier too. Ahh god knows... I've also been chatting to some mateys on a facebook group I mod and the consensus does appear to be that the Fanes are a bit poo, and that PD1550 is the way to go for these cabs; and that simming sometimes has to be ignored!

aaaaaaaaaand on the bottom one, there was no original XLR link I/O, infact there was nothing, it went straight up the arse of the access panel oddly enough, so they might all be copies! LOLLOLLOL

Yup,bottom one is also a copy....Martin (or rather Tony ASS who actually built them for Martin) would never fit the top and bottom panels that badly.

Yeah,45 years experience with these type of cabinets does tend to give me the edge over the young whippersnappers on the forum--Between me and Ian, we could probably even give you the exact screw spacings from when the cabinets were built

I bought two originals and then copied them. The ones I have do not match the ones on hornplans. It was quite confusing. 
The 115 looks like an easy build. It is not. Very time consuming. Very rewarding to listen too. I have build pics if you want. 6 took me 3 weeks.
