Im sure the cx series and the PLX series are the same , only the CX is install specific and then the PLX is the touring version .
The "02" version of the PLX is the original ? Im sure its just refers to 3602 3600 watts at 2 ohm . the "04" were made to put the power in at 4 ohms but couldn't handle 2 ohm loads .PLX 1804 1800 watts at 4 ohm ( 900 per channel). That's my take on it . as per the OP initial question, like others have said suck it and see , especially seeing as you already own the amps .

You are right there, but it is the later grey plx, that people don't rate. In my experience, the CX are much more sturdy. Was thinking of getting PLX1602, for home hifi, as they are cheap and Class AB iirc.

Many thanks for all your thoughts, I also have a Lab FP3400 which I believe will be better at 2 ohms compared to QSC and MC2, any thoughts on this
