Well it works! Its not died, did a blind listening test with mikey loaded box and the ciare loaded box. Was quite hard to tell any difference. If there was any i'd say the ciare gave an ever so slightly rawer sound whereas mikeys sounded cleaner. The difference was negligable.
Unfortunatley dont have any actual test equipment but if anyone around manchester has then get in touch and we can use a more scientific approach. We have another 3 gigs this weekend on Wednesday, friday and Saturday so we'll see how it holds out.

Will keep you all updated and if anyone fancys having a listen we are at Glass Bar fallowfield on wednesdat night and Jabez Clegg Friday and saturday (and the next tuesday) all in Manchester

yep smaller chamber. cant really tell the difference by looking at a picture.
the new punisher design came about purely due to the new driver.

the 2005 drivers tend to burn out relatively quickly due to the size of the chamber.

limiting them right seems to stop them overheating.

Hows the new bins sam???

Yes that is correct,

Ciare changed the basket on the 12.00SW driver to allow for better cooling. But this change made the total driver about 2cm deeper so there was not enough room behind the magnet vent in de MKI design. The MKII solved this problem. The performance of MKI and MKII are virtually the same.

Best regards,

Walt
