I would only apply that correction to the inner end of the port, the outer end of the port has less extension from the sides of the cabinet to start with.

Whilst it is perfectly possible to run a 15" and a suitable 1" together it is the 15 that needs to be chosen with extreme care if you want a nice open mid section.

In this case, what TS parameters are important? Qms, Le, BL and Vas?

Never actually compared the T/S parameters as I know what I am looking for anyway. They tend to have smaller voice coils 63mm or 76mm, smallish xmax and low mass (goes with the small voice coil and xmax). In all honesty the best way is still to listen if you can as even drivers with similar parameters can sound totally different.
