The tops are going to be flown and there are multiple bass bins,

Quad 12"?  Knowing the kind of level I've managed to get out of a twin 12" with efficient drivers, a quad is likely to be ridiculously loud!

I guess one advantage is that you'll have plenty of low-mid headroom and can keep the crossover point to the subs low.  Always a plus when you can't close-couple them.
