Thanks RCF is on the list :) open to suggestions of what to look for.
Certainly would he happy with an RCF system. I also see DB tech (esp Fortyline) as cheap RCF but with poorly made boxes! Interesting no one has backed the HK actually! I'll keep researching :)

I haven't heard anything HK Audio stuff used in anger over a longer periode of time. Only a short demo of a Contour Array setup. 3 subs and 3 mid-hi each side.
That sounded pretty good and loud. I guess a stack would match a stack of Forty line ![]() A stack consisting of one sub and one mid-hi. Edit: forgot all about HK Audio Projector system. That would be a great piece of kit for you also. But that might be hard to find these days. Not the biggest low-end performer system, but its a good sounding system.

RCF have just released the new SUB8003 Mk3. A pair of these each side with an NX32A on top would be pretty good. If you can stretch budget to the 8004 subs, even better.
