hi all im going to be building 4 mt121's to sit on top of my 6 USB's.

and am wondering i need these midtops to be really good does the straight mt121 design preform worse than the angled original design ? and is the p-audio sn-12b and p-audio sd-750n the best option for them,

if i have to build 6 instead of 4 i will but would prefer to not have too.

any and all advice is very welcome.

thx in advance

I think the angled original is better tho I'm not sure by  how much
I'm English, and as such I crave disappointment. I actively seek it out.

Just wondering the reason for choosing 4 * MT121s instead of 2 * MT122s?

you wont get adequate dispersion higher up with one MT122 per side

There are better drivers than the P-audio for sure but it you get diminishing returns on additional spend beyond a certain point. The P-audio drivers are great value for money, particulalry the SN-12B. You may be better off with a decent B&C or Beyma compression driver though as P-audio comps have been reported to sound a little ragged when thrashed; the beyma CP750Nd is not much more than the p-audio driver you mentioned and has had great feedback.

In my opnion the SN-12B is one of the best drivers P-audio do but there are plenty of alternative drivers that are suitable for high-power mid-range horns. The DAS 12BN certainly looks to have ideal specs but is a fairly pricey alternative.
me so horny, me love you long throw.

I'd go for PD123ER's if you can find some, not sure about neo drivers. Maybe just me but I've got some 12/1" Reflex tops loaded with B&C 12NDL76's and they sound rather cold. Probably just need some EQ but I love a warm sound.
