have a looky on there for the limmer 042 horn, alough its not cheap ,....or lyndonA on this forum has a 2x6" [i think] and 1" mid top box he designed around a cheapo eminence driver which may work well for you?
Any of these options will be fine though to be honest!

i have a pair being fabricated as we speak!

i was thinking about putting a mt121 underneath but am worried about dispersion- limmer is 50, mt is 40, would be nice to get a 12, 6.5 and 1 all matched up with 50 dispersion- poor man's floodlight style.

Quote mt is 40

Which section are you referring to?

The 12" section doesn't offer very much control over the dispersion because of the small mouth (to quote Dom Wink) so i wouldn't be put off from using it for a wider dispersion type cab.

Well as i said, to quote Dom, who said horn mouth, (and i know very little about horn theory) but the horn length is only the same as a wavelength of ~730hz which is in the region of where you're crossing to the 2" so may be that also.

I did some polar plots of the 12" section a few years ago...

They're not directional at all at the frequency you'd cross over to a limmer...
"It sounded like a million fire engines chasing ten million ambulances through a war zone and it was played at a volume that made the empty chair beside me bleed."
