Hi mate - ok, so here is my confession, and I suspect it's actually similar for most people who've built this cab. I didn't measure or even pre-plan these angles. They are so tight, and there is no machine (that I own!) that can cut such a tight, pre-determined angle, so I just used a palm sander and kept going and trying until they eventually fit. Lots of trial and error. Making both horns (one for each speaker) definitely took a good full day I'd say. Honestly, there are so many angles in this design, and none of the plans I could find online were really helpful in terms of angles, so it was just a lot of figuring it out as I went. In other words, I used the plans for the size of the panels, but when it came to all the angles that was sort of just figured out as you go. I don't think I pre-planned or pre-determined a single angle for these.

Sorry for the late reply. Let me know if any more questions!

Wow terrific system. Do you have any footage of the event? I am wondering how the 4818's compare to the mth-4654 or sapfx118-lw

There is a way of cutting angles like that on a table saw, it's a bit hard to explain but if you screw the panel you want to mitre to a piece of chunky wood like a 4x2 you can then cut it end on by standing the panel up on the saw with the 4x2 against the fence.

You don't need to make it as fancy as this guy, but should give you a clear picture of how to do it.

Oh yes this is right. I actually spent a lot of time on YouTube looking at various different jigs. But even then I wasn’t sure what angle to use even if I did make a jig. I know it would’ve been better using a table saw for these angles, for a number of reasons, but I just ended up sanding until things fit ha!

Yeah that's a good question! I don't have any experience with those but it looks like both the mth-4654 and the sapfx118-lw are more for sub-bass, whereas the MHB-4818 is more in the kick range. (I'm currently building an X1 to cover the lowest range).
