new bass is needed. It should run up to about 700Hz. Alt.1 2x12" precision devices PDN.12SB40/PDN.12MH25 or 12"-Neodym. from RCF Alt.2 2x15" precision devices PDN.15BR40/PDN.15SB40 or RCF LF15N401 Does someone have experience with these drivers? What enclosures could be used? Thanks for some ideas! |

no direct experience of any of them but i have been playing around with the PDN 15SB40 and i can tell you they model very well in short horns

Hi Dave, thanks for your reply. background for my new bass is: I have a very good wooden mid-horn, that goes down to about 700Hz. Therefore the bass-unit has to run up to that point. I think, a pure short-horn-enclosure cant be driven so high. The bass is for home-cinema-purpose. perhaps a mixture of bassreflex with good connection to air and horn or some type of bandpass-design should be better. My problem is, no enclosure-proposual fo find at all of the producers, nor in forums |
