it needs to be put on the web somewhere else first and then hyperlinked to the forum, use msn and have a picture page.

sorry its a bit grainy and that......

...the cab is now wadded all round the inside of the rear camber to try to increase effective rear volume a little...its been sealed and hopefully ready to have a little test

...loaded with PD156 that i was lucky enough to get silly cheap...got another 3 drivers so i'm making 4 of these babys to stack together with around 2K powering the lot

the design is very construction friendly havin only a few mitres and all around 45 degrees....they're 1m tall 75cm deep and 43cm wide (internal) so not little but it's about 2m long horn....more info to come

Nice to see the box. Hope you get to push it hard for a little tonight and let us know about how it sounds. Put it against a (solid) wall or in a corner to make up for the lack of stacking. Seems like that driver was a bit of a tight fit.... Don't overdo the wadding though. hornresp shows that if you overstuff the rear chamber, you loose out on a bit of mid-band efficiency too.

May the force be with the neighbours

Martin

Hi,

Its looking good.

Bet you can't wait to hear one. Don't judge it on only one cab though.

Rog.

martin: the wadding is quite thin 1-2cm ish, is this 'bout the right ammount? just trying to give that bit more 'virtual' space in the rear chamber we were on about....

i didn't put too much in as i figured it'll get hot as fook in there even without the insulation of the wadding....hopefully it'll be irie.....

......looks well cool now its got the side on....bass hole of doom

rog: can't wait....the neighbours don't know whats comin'....and its just the start

I recon the wadding wil be alright. You'd have to put a whole lot more in for it to really start having a significant effect. The advantage of a rear chamber that's a little too small is that it's a little more secure regarding driver over-excursion at fc(=cut off). It does cause a bit of ripple, but such was also the case with the original LAB horn.

As Rog said, wait for dem in a stak, as the design is meant for 1/8th space. Give 'em hell ;-) For tonight just put in in a corner like a naughty little boy and give it...corrective punishment (not that PC matters much on this forum)

....hope PC doesn't matter too much on the forum...i have a bad habit of cyber-swearing

loophole:you've been reading my mind  i'll see you there in a few years after i've built the remain 29 cabs  (per side of course)

martin: nice one....i thought that the skinny bit of wadding wouldnt make it seem much bigger but if its got your approval its fine with me!
