So at the moment we have a lot of drivers sitting on the shelf doing nothing.
Time to build an entirely new system.
The mid-highs will be the last develeopment of the prototype mid tops i built (not the same as the prototypes). They go down to 200Hz. So from 35Hz upwards to 200Hz-preferably 240Hz for protection something has to be added.

At the moment we have:
12 RCF L18P300
8   RCF L15P200AK
8   RCf L15S800
I was thinking, 4 horn loaded 18'' subs and 2-4 15'' on kick per side should do it for 1000-1500 venues.
I'd preferably choose something stand alone on kick that i could use 4 per side for smaller gigs with small 12+1 tops. BR??

For sub, definitely horn loaded, but what kind of design, i have no idea yet. Perhaps WSX, Hog or tapped horn like andywave's miss piggy. building skills are top notch, they will be build by a friend who is a proffesional carpenter. Neither Amp power nor transport are problems.
Would prefer some high subs to be able to get sub+kick up to at least 150cm for the tops.

So just a quick assembly of a few sketchup models i put together over the past few years:
These are hogs on sub and 15'' BR on kick, and my own mid-tops (missing tweeter cabinets)

edit:
The system  will be used in large rooms and open fields.
It has to play all sorts of music from jazz to hiphop, r&b, dance and trance, but never something like dubstep. 

Any suggestion is welcome!

Cubo 15 for an all round/kick bin?? My BPH kick design plays well without subs running a pd156 and would go up to 240 with a little mod to the front chamber, don't know how RCFs would compare. If you had more 18s, I'd say ES18s for kick/standalone.
Thinking you might need more than reflex to keep up with the pile of hogs though!

What about the CB-18X, it should go from about 35 hz up to at least 130hz.
And the RCF 18P300 works fine in it.

So i decided to just build some bandpass subs, since the old ones have always been good to me.
They are based on the Nexo LS1000 but then a little scaled and braced up. The ports have been made a little bigger so they can take 750W sine instead of 450W sine before reaching port velocity of 20m/s. Also they have extra handles around and some extra rubber feet on some sides etc.
For now i'll just stick to the tops and use the Dynacord D2000 for kicks. 

Edit: The black cab is Nexo LS1000, the wood coloured/black cab is the scaled up new version.
Sims:
Green line is the new design, pink the old design. The front chamber has been tuned a little higher because i though the cab was just a little too one-notey. It's now tuned ~9Hz higher, but the chamber is 15L bigger since it has been scaled up so efficiency in the higher part of the spectrum has been boosted a quite much. Group delay is within 2ms of the old design and vent velocity, phase, cone displacement and impulse response have all improves so i expect this cab to sound better then the old one. F3 is now at 39.5Hz instead of 41Hz, which was possible due to a larger rear chamber.

Never mind. I don't believe bandpass are the way forward. It should be something hornloaded, just can't get my head around building inefficient bass cabs. Less power per driver on normal sound level and higher maximum SPL, so hornloaded is however the way forward.

Despite those are in fact not real offset driver but S1-L12-S2 are used to simulate throat chamber and maintain real path length to the center of the horn. According to some builders real measurements this gives pretty good resemblance of real cabinet. (but all shoved tendency to have bit lower low corner freq. in reality than simulated) 

Other way you can simulate without "offset" with volume of cone and infront of cone as "throat chamber". Both ways you get pretty similar simulation graphs .. now only measuring the real model may show which is really closer.

Yes symmetrical loading shows as really good in use :) .. of course trade-off  is a bit more wood and cabinet weight and bit shorter horn than posible within same cabinet with single side folding.

for HR I have for used as follows

For CB-18 (standard version)

S1=800 ; L12=21
S2=756 ; L23=188,5
S3=2050 ; L34=19
S4=3700

For CBe-18 (streetsounds version)

S1=800 ; L12=21

Quick checked.. yes R.C.F. L18 P 300 sims very good in all versions of CB-18 :)

Hello Staiper,

Recently i've had the idea of building a new sound system. 
The sub drivers will be .R.C.F. L18 P 300.
I've made a 3d sketchup model of the CB-18E so i can easily transfer the measurements to a Hornresp sim.
But even though i a lot of experience in running hornresp, i would like to know which measurements you used to sim the CB-18E so i can be sure i did it correctly. 
At first glance the R.C.F. L18 P 300 is a good contendor, but just to be sure i thought i should ask you.

I love the idea of having a symmetrical horn as it reduces the chance of cone warping due to unequal loading pressure. I also use it in my kickbins and i like it.
