We have dealership with QSC - the PL3s are very nice, well designed amps.

Not all lightweight amps are lightweight in performance. (e.g Chevin A6000 and PL6/9). PL6/9 are SM/PFC power supply but still CLASS H output, so 3U and 31kg!
They were discontinued because of PSU reliability problems with 120V versions, but European 250V versions were supposed to be the business.

I have two QSC PL380 amps. I have used one several times to power 8 scoops loaded with Void 18-1000 18" speakers. This amp does the buisness. Loud, low bass, and clean. Very accurate too, good control over the scoops. This rig is out most weekends playing from 11pm to 6am in a club.
Outplays my old Crest CA18 amp, and that is rated at 2500watts RMS per channel into 2 ohms! The QSCPL380 is rated at 4000watts RMS per channel into 2 ohms and 2500w RMS per channel into 4 ohms.
Do it with love or for love. Now let's kick some ass! [http://www.myspace.com/take2audio]
