Outplays my old Crest CA18 amp, and that is rated at 2500watts RMS per channel into 2 ohms! The QSCPL380 is rated at 4000watts RMS per channel into 2 ohms and 2500w RMS per channel into 4 ohms.

How does the sub depth and body compare to the CA18 though?

(Maybe it's time to introduce my Piggy bank to my sound hammer)...

Never heard that word in my life. Took me ages to find what that word meant Trev! It weren't in Wikipedia! For those who don't know it. Check out the urban dict... http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=shiznit

We're QSC dealers - if I can help someone out and do them trade price, it gets me my free bottles of Shure Distribution wine at crimbo!

Let me know.

Ray,

We don't sell used amps as a matter of course. We're not used kit dealers, but a hire house - I just happen to be selling older stock at the moment.

I can do you a new PL380 for about £2300.

Cheers,

Mike

That is a fair UK new price..

Which is why I was hoping to get used PL380/PL9 for about £1k..  Confused

Don't think PL380s are old enough to really be on the second-hand market mate!

The price I quoted includes VAT by the way.

Fun fact: the PL380's circuity is upside down in the amp's chassis, so when the amp is sitting on the ground, the circuit board is on the top of the inside, not the bottom. By taking advantage of how gravity works, this helps protect the amp from things such as spilled liquids from pooling, debris landing on the circuity and shorting components, etc.

I'd shamelessly commit sex crimes to own some of these. (i.e. too broke to have any hope for one)
