I have a working 2 sub 2 kick 2 midtop system right now. However I hate my Midtops they are awful. I have 2 X1 subs and 2 HD-15 kicks I am happy with. I have 2 old 15 "reflex 'subs', they are genuinely just a box to hold the driver in, only about 450-475mm deep with just some diamond cut outs at the bottom. then 550 wide, 600 tall ish.
Anyways I do not want to waste time/money on buying more wood, or messing around with internal crossovers and I kind of want my rig to be a bit unique!
My plan is to put some low-mid range 15'' drivers in those old boxes, ideally crossing over with my hd15s at ~200hz, then going up to a point where they can meet my comps/highs if this is possible which ones should I get.
I was then just going to take a mt130 build and just ignore the whole mid section, and just make 2 horn enclosures essentially for my highs.
Will this work?????? And where should the mids/highs crossover at?
