3db plus means twice the power needed to get it. But it is not double loud. It is noticeable louder, but not double.

Back on the subject :)
PD.1850 is 175+14.5 vs Oberton which is 207 total If you have to cut for the PD, what do we do with the Oberton? It is 17.5 mm difference, which is far beyond just digging a small hole in the ply :) Where is the topic with the person who has them loaded in hogs? Would love to know how they sound! |

It was not Hogs if i remember correctly. He got a bit carried away with the power put in to them.

So if it wasn't.. moving B ( hog_scoop_-_parts.jpg ) with 10 mm, how would affect everything? Is it a lot of displacement from the original plan?
Also diameter of Oberton's magnet is 220 mm while PDs are 280 , so shouldn't need this groove, just the depth is the big difference. Edited by bozhidar - 23 December 2015 at 6:51pm |

Heya, they are usually in hogs they were loaded in full size scoops for that one particular time and got blown :)
Theres no cutout needed for the xb1500,the pds magnet is wider thats why you have to cutout the hog for it. Regarding the sound the "sensation" is pretty similar to the 1850. Precise, hard hitting and loud :) |

personally i would rather go with a more musical driver instead of the spl monster ;)
lower fs, higher qes/qts, less spl, more sub notes.. |
