Had a gig at the weekend in an unusual place:  On top of a scaffold tower in the centre of a climbing hall.  First time out for the PPX450, was running in mono on mids, with two AP360's doing tops/hi and bass/monitors.  Kids liked it, but everything had 5mm of chalk dust on it by the end.

View from the decks, below is the view the other way:
Here are the old girls in a small rack (still probably 100kg):

bad ass.

ive done a few gigs up at the Sheffield ski slope which have been pretty good fun, especially as outdoors the rig sounds bloody lovely but this is the next level.
You're a big man, but you're in bad shape. With me it's a full time job. Now behave yourself.

I was thinking of going up slope as well, any tips for me sKs01?
Pit falls?
Fed up playing pubs and bars with random violence, moving to open air and family orientated or extreme bass events.  Got a load of outdoor gigs lined up in an old bowling green with wooden pavillion on the beach front (no neighbours - ha,ha), will stick up pictures when it happens as will be using the full rig.

Here are some pics from gig last weekend, had 8 skaters fly in from LA plus others from round abouts and Europe come to exhibit in front of 200 screaming kids followed by alday skate session.  13 hr shift.

Couple of new boy Inf. 7's lent by Dyslexic for the subs, old girls out were Amcron DC300a/comps, AP360/bullets and spare ch., PPX450/mids and Studio 1000 on MA215mk2.  Made noise, moved air, everyone happy...

Gavin,is that an ASS concert series i spy, third cabinet up? Its not a ma215mk11 as it has three vanes in the throat, the Martin only has two?
Edit...or is the "third" centre vane, just the throat partition at the back, that has shown up in a camera flash?

Nah, just 2 vanes- got me excited then as the label had been removed, ASS does look more refined with the curves over the angles.

The venue was a large warehouse filled full of ramps, so was only able to set up at one spot, had to allow enough room for entry and not so much volume that kids were scared, skaters crash or the MC not be heard...so no, just mono.
Was like playing with reverb on the tops all day, which made the reggae and dub sound like it was coming through time and space from the 70's, lol.

Latest charity gig for the kids, again at Skate park as part of Ipath tour...this time put the speakers and decks ontop of the ramp.  We used pulleys and climbing stuff to haul them up.
Can't see the JBL-style cab too well...

Best trick was by Aberdeen lad...
..first I knew there was some movement out the corner of my eye, then some kid stood next to me 20-30feet off the ground, rock to fakey.  10hours of music and skating.  Extreme roller disco.
