i've just acquired a pair of lovely X15's

unfortunately one SN 15MB is blown (?) no sound at all.

i've no idea how to diagnose this let alone fix it, so i guess i will have replace...

i see the SN15MB is OOP, on the offchance anyone knows of anyone selling that would be ace.

failing that, i guess i'll have to get a pair of replacement drivers, has anyone got any recommendations? i have some fane sov's kicking about, hardly a viable replacement but...?

EDIT:

have some options here it seems

there was always a bit of ambiguity / weirdness with published specs for p-audio stuff, just saying..

The xmax of P-audio drivers is calculated by the conservative way like BMS does: (VC winding height - Gap height) / 2

The biggest P-audio problem is big factory tolerances and the ever changing spec sheets for drivers. So even if you plug these TS-paramters in, chances are big the eventual drivers does not come close.

Do you already have those drivers?

Why not get them reconed?

Drop Wembley and/or RMJ a line.

yes smitske96 - i have one and on that needs reconing

thanks APW - i'll see if they can recone, probably the best option. hope they can get kits.

i do wonder if there is a driver out there that's suitable for the use case, and if so, i'd like to find it.

currently there are no recommeneded drivers for the plan which is a shame, they're a cool design. i'd like to find something that could ammend the plan so people can build them again.

looking at the fane 15 300 TC

it's a fullrange 15" so could be roll the HPF and LPF up a bit if you were using midbass such as kicks etc and would take some strain off the comp driver. mine is x-d over quite low
