They don't have impact outdoors because they're true subs, that just do the real low stuff which is omnidirectional, so you aren't gaining lots of output from room modes in the upper region. Pair them with a decent upper bass cab and you can get surprising results, don't write off bandpass just because it does what it says it does!
That said, unless you want 'true subs', you might be better off with another design like the Othorn for all round bass. Edited by toastyghost - 16 November 2018 at 2:29am |

if I was going to mess with this design then flaring the ports would be the first thing. corner braces are the least useful sort of bracing. try and brace opposite sides together or split panels up into unequal sections.
