I was planning on making the X 15 plan on this site, but it seams the P-Audio SN 15MB is dis-continued on blue aran, so wondering which is the best alternative? Blue Aran states that this was a 300w driver and there are now 2 p-audio drivers at 300w:
P Audio E15-300S 15 Inch 300W - 40hz to 2000hz. P-Audio 15BM-300B 15 inch 300W - 45hz to 3500hz. There was no specifications on blue aran for the discontinued one but someone stated in this forum the frequency range was 35 - 3000hz. So would the (P-Audio 15BM-300B 15 inch 300W - 45hz to 3500hz) be most suited. As the specs are different would the box be no longer suited? Many thanks. |

Anybody tried the new SN models (Series II)? A friend has a couple of 2 x 15" + 2" cabs with the original 15MB and I´m a big fan of the old SN12B/MB. I have over a dozen of them around in various cabs and they sound great. Also yet to blow any, very impressive!
I´m also a bit sceptical about the Series II - it looks to me like P-Audio have sacrificed sensitivity for the (stupid) watts game - a bit disappointing, but maybe someone can tell me something different? |

There is a possibility of bringing back the original SN MB drivers, only hurdle is a minimum order quantity of 100 drivers - it's no longer a current model for P-Audio.

I think the recones face the same problem as the drivers, Minimum Order Quantity.
We could look into getting a combined batch of drivers and recones and see if they will do that, but they generally wont consider any special build of less than 100 pieces.
Its something I am considering, but there needs to be sufficient demand.

I don't think there was much issue ordering them, they're just not on the standard price lists, you have to ask. If you look at the paperwork for the last but one order, you should find them.

The most recent response on anything 'discontinued' was a categorical no unless it's 100 pcs or more. I'll have to check on the SN15MB recone kits, they may be a special case. |
