cant confirm but i believe that the magnet would be too big for you to put the access hatch bach on due to its size.

look at the driver depth and the design

Ryan,  if the magnet does fit then it should work well.

If not then Dead

PD154's magnet is bigger and if you can put this into HD15, u can put in PD1550 too.

Guess we're all living there. The BL of the 154 is much bigger as well as the magnet being heavier:

NOW please; do anybody know anything about it? heard it? -I can't find it in the hd 15's sims list, wel it is there but the print is not ...

interestingly it does say on the data sheets that the 1550 has a 110oz magnet and a 154 has a 125oz magnet. It also states that they both have the same dimensions but it does not give a messurement for the width of magnet, just depth which is the same 161mm for both drivers.

I havnt actually ever seen a 1550 in the flesh so cant comment on the actual size difference but i was always under the impression that they were massive compaired to the 154. I would have expected it to be the same as the difference between the 186 & th 1850. ie the 50 being much bigger.

Also there was a discussion on this before and if i remember correctly the difference between the 1550 and the 154 was negligable and basicly not worth the price difference

If u have to buy some new speaker for hd15, go fot the PD154 realy tuff horn driver. It has nice Xmax of 7.7mm, EPB 180, has realy strong motor and costs less then PD1550.
