Community had a double fifteen low mid horn called the Boxer. That would probably complement the Porn Horn very well.

@ceharden: I don't know whether you could strech some sort of condom over a frame, but a 2500cm^2 mouth would make that a little big.
Phase plug.... mould something over a cellophane coated driver and have it meet a bandsaw to make a sort of radial plug is what I'd do. if you want a master part for a nose you could add an extra step and make something like it on a lathe making sure it can fit and incorporating that into your mould Personally I'd prototype out of an even-rising 2k expanding polyurethane foam. A nose would be wooden. A silicone mould would probably be the best bet for a phase plug. Edited by Timber_MG - 27 January 2007 at 12:23am |

Maybe one could build a metal framework to hold the 12" horn as well as the compression horn thereby eliminating the wooden cabinet.Something to ponder.

no! actually lighter than a wooden cabinet
hollow square steel tubing
first option was for aluminium, but was too costly

Lots of advantages to having the metal frame. One con though is most of us don't know how to weld or have the equip.I guess we could call on a welder to make the frame. |
