I am maybee thinking of biulding a couple of porn horns and wondered if the spike from proaudioparts is the only one i could use? I personnally would like the spike to be looking massive and to me porn horn spike from proaudioparts doesnt look to big.I want it to look like thunder-ridge or turbo spikes. |

Spike? Do you mean the phase plug? From what i know they're fairly integral to the whole horn shape - mess with that and you'll affect the sound in who knows what ways?? |

The only thing one could do if you really wanted to mess around was to
make a huge radial/axial phasing plug which extends past the horn
throat to fit the porn-horn contour like what EAW do, but that is not
exactly simple. Don't forget that the phase plug performs a duty and is
not a cosmetic addition to the speaker.
