Now i am an amateur and don't know much but i am in limbo of what system setup to go for. the tops aren't a problem but the lower regions is causing me concern. i was toying with the idea of building two X1's and a HD15 for each but i get the impression that the X1 doesn't kick out with much power just fluid bass. If used with the HD15 they would supply the neccessary kick but i am not sure.
I suppose my question is would the punisher design go as low as the X1 with more than 1 or is the X1 and HD15 combo a good one? Also i have seen this but haven't got an idea of frequency response for it. http://www.speakerstore.nl/index.php?l=en&pg=11&c=16 Apologies for the tedious question but i feel it will start me off on my adventure. The punisher won't go anywhere near as low as an x1 unless you have a whole load of them. The x1 and hd15 combo is supposed to be a good combo, and will work well in most environments, but does not have much throw if you want to use the rig outdoors. Something like a 186 or 1850 would be better if you want abit more throw, and may just have the edge loudness wise outside, but would not go as high as an hd15 so you'd need bigger tops that played abit lower...

Thank you. Outdoor use isn't really a nessecity, even if they were used outdoors everyone would be in close proximaty anyway. It Looks like 2 X1's, 3 HD15, and 2 MT102.
I am still undecided about it though as the tops are causing a bit of upset.

personaly, i think he is unsure to the point that he probably doesn't even know what to search for in the first place so his posting here should be justified with that.
sure they may search, but it doesn't mean that what the search brings up has ANYTHING to do with what they are having a problem with. Edited by NeverWinter - 14 November 2006 at 7:23pm |

X1 and HD15 combination works great... Just use at least one 15 per 18 to keep the kick.
