Hi what would u consider the minimum wattage to power a bms 4590p using the passive bms filter, the total wattage of driver is 230w at 8r, remember running with passive filter.
Thanks

Choose the amp here by hearing test dont care about wattage. Usually Qscs sound good. I would also search for Chevins. My A1004 sounded nice on 2" and ugly on 0.5"
You could disconnect crossover and make it active for 4 channels. It may not be as good idea thought.

The CX404 sounds very nice, I have one running my hi-fi bi-amped!  However I normally reckon on about 4x RMS power for compression drivers because the crest factor tends to be so high on HF and you definitely don't ever want clipping on HF drivers.

Be a bit crazy but you could bridge the channel pairs to turn it into a 2 channel amp!  CX702 or 902 would be better from that range.

How much output do you need from these things? From the spec sheet they do 110db@1w with the passive xover so you'll get 130dB with only 100w which still leaves some headroom in the amp. I say set limiters so the amps cannot clip and run it.

Running them active without the crossover is definitely the best choice.
