Borrow/hire one. Set limiters correctly, is it enough for you? No amp blows up speakers if limiter correct, 200w into each speaker could be safe forever if set properly.

The Powersoft amps have PROPER limiters, you can use a k20 to drive a hifi tweeter day in day out with the limiters set properly, they will also drive at full output into lw impedance loads with ease.

So now what would the actual difference be between a K6 and a K10? Looking at the power ratings then approx 2dB.

It takes 6dB to make the cone move twice as far.

6dB to double the sound pressure level.

3dB to double the heating effect on the voice coil.

Turn it up by 3dB and you will draw double the current from the wall.

A couple more cabs on a K6 get you 3dB or more output and a heavier smoother sound.

The extra 2dB power from a K10 may just push the drivers to the point the disortion rises alot.

Try turning your mixer up by 2dB next time you have it all running and that will be about the difference from going from a K6 to a K10.

Best bet would be to hire in one of each and do an AB blind test.

You can not put two step up cards to make K6 a K10!

thanks for reply guys , will test set properly  and decide , that's a perfect advice Smile

Marjan , read carefully Wink  http://www.powersoft-audio.com/en/k-series-step-up

"For example, one Step-Up will transform the K6 into a K8, two Step-Ups will make the K6 a K10.Of course the K8 can also be upgraded."

still getting my feet wet w/ specing out amps but isnt the answer as simple as just ensuring each scoop will be wired in parallel at the matching impedence (drivers to amp) so that they each receive program power?

Wrong!

I have succesfully upgraded a K6 to a K10 using 2 step up card.
