Rack furthest right known as “Big Red” runs 4x 184 subs, 4x HD15 and 4x 15+2” mid/tops bi amped.

Rack next left runs 4 bi amped monitor wedges.

To the left of that is the “Disco” rack to run subs plus bi amped mid/tops or my fane court speakers.

Left of that runs bi amped DJ monitors

Furthest left is work in progress, which will eventually power a drum fill speaker. Speakerplans DM2 which will be made soon.

Need more PPX for additional speakers that are sometimes used with my kit.

2x PPX1200 on bass (BRIDGED)... not the same amps but I've done similar and 1200w always seemed more then enough on 600-800w drivers.

If it sounds like a gorilla is trying to escape, turn it down.

Ah, sadly the PPX range current limiting stops them having the same grunt as say HH VX range. There is quite a difference. Very reliable though. Fixed hundreds.

Always had enough in them for what I do. Efficient speakers goes a long way.

I've mentioned this before on here but I used to run a pair of XR3801's on two pairs of HD215's, one night years ago one of the xr3801's went down and all I had spare in the van was a PPX900 which got promptly hooked up to a pair of the hd215's, to this day it's still the loudest 900w I've ever heard, it didn't have the 'oomph' of the bigger C-Audio but for spl it wasn't that far behind. At around the same time I would regularly use a PPX900 on a pair of 2x10 flared mids and another 900 on some 2" + 1" horn boxes above and that was a seriously loud mid top section.

Funnily enough, while I was reading through the thread, I was thinking virtually the same thing. I owned a PPX900 but was always disappointed with it compared to my VX900. Didn't know anything about current limiting back then tho.
