Omg that's funny as hell.

Mordant short, sony, kenwood and aiwa all hot glue gunned into a wardrobe. Genuis.

I've got loads of old speakers in the attic. Perhaps i don't need a new pair of 12"tops after all...

Most Turtle Bay's in England seem to be going for this aesthetic, walls of unused old cabinets. Looks alright.

At least it clearly states that you load an active speaker in through the door at the back, and dont actually wire up all those hifi speakers lol

And only in one of them. Shame they went to all that effort and didn't even make it stereo.

Video of Dave Lee, aka Joey Negro using a similar hifi stack, but clearly just for show, there is a decent system playing out of view.

So this is just doing the Sound System equivalent of a guitarist believing that bands actually use all that junk stacked at the back of the stage 😂

Or not. Did anyone else notice that the mixer he is fondling doesn't even appear to be powered on. No signal level meters registering at all throughout his set, he's pulling a milli vanilli.

Not quite so.  After you pointed it out I was suspicious myself so jumped back and forth thru the (nearly) two hours of it and can see in several places that the mixer and decks are live.

At 1:46:11 you can clearly see that the cue button for channel 2 is lit and you can also see (blue panel L nearest the camera) that the Flanger has been set.

I think ol' Disco Dave is enough of a veteran not to have to mime a set. Although you do hear stories (not him specifically)

Yeah I thought I saw a few buttons illuminated here and there but still no signal levels present, no way any big name DJ/Producer would not light up those meters like a christmas tree if he was actually playing something. I say the set was canned and played back from FOH and he was just making an "appearance".

It's very hard to see any lights on those mixers on sunny days.
