Still on the look out for this, I’m hoping not to have to send it back to db for repair and get shafted 🙈

I've found some OEM amp modules but they don't provide enough power (50W max)

DBS charges are pretty steep
But looks like I’m going to have to suck it up

RCF also use the digimod amps. ISTR the last one didn't leave much change from £400.

Not what I wanted to hear 😂
It’s frustraiting now as I’ve had it to 2 good amp guys that can’t find any issues with it and cant work out why it’s stuck in mute mode.
It powers up fine but won’t come out of mute, looks like it’s going to one of DBs authorised guys then, I have a feeling I’m gunna need my vasciline

Also am I right in thinking those digimod modules are powersoft?
There’s nothing on the module no model or branding ?

Who’s made them mate do you know?

Just googled digimod
And come across these
http://www.powersoft-audio.com/en/oem-solutions/digimod#DigiMod%203004PFC2" rel="nofollow - http://www.powersoft-audio.com/en/oem-solutions/digimod#DigiMod%203004PFC2

Was also told there the same as what Sherman are using in their powered stuff and I believe there using powersoft too

They're called digipro not digimod, at least that is what it says on the back of my broken modules

Posted By: nuclearbass
Date Posted: 13 January 2018 at 4:00pm
I did wonder as ours don’t say powersoft anywhere on them

the company that makes them is a subsidiary of the rcf/db tech company. They are very similar to the powersoft ones in basic form, ie smpsu/class D with a dsp front end. IMHO the quality is nowhere near the powersoft ones.

The idea is that a very few modules can be fitted in lots of cabs with the appropriate firmware downloaded to the DSP.

When I last spoke to Ampman I'm sure he said they didnt repair them, just replaced them.

If we don’t get to bottom of it today then it looks like it could be coming your way if you have the drawing.
I don’t think it’s gone bang, not through abuse anyway, it just powered up and stuck in mute one day.

Not sure what happened to it

Most Powersoft stuff can be fixed, they just need a bit of care.

FWIW, Ive benn running a small pa for 25 yrs now using traditional (!)and ,in the last 6 or so yrs ,these digipro amps in db tech flexsys system.
NEVER blown a trad amp.
Blown 5 digi amps...Had another one go last Sat!
I'm not convinced of their robustness myself...
Light and cheap BUT expensive  for replacements.
Now I wish I'd gone with another system, but flexsys is out of date now anyway, so hopefully others wont follow my foolish footsteps!
Will look into the repairer mentioned, thanks for that.
cheers ed

On several dutch forums there are also bad experiences with the digipro (NOT digimod) modules.
Worst part of it all was the service from Db technologies. I've read story's of waiting 6 months for a replacement.

I get my replacements from CUK Audio who ,i think, are main dealers for Db Tech in Uk,which has been fine.  Good service an all, but one time they were out of stock and I had a couple months wait before they got more from Italy, which had me sweating it a bit. Dont bust an amp over their summer break! Unless you've got spares! Stuart Cunningham who runs it muttered something once about a guy who would look at them and I've got a couple boxed up ready to send but haven't got round to getting his details yet.I'll ask about it again when I order another unit and let you know if its a goer.

2 or 3 years ago someone at Ampman told me it was a repairable unit on the phone, then they said that they didn't repair them after I sent it to them. After a £50 inspection fee! Hmm.

As for DbTech themselves; I guess that to them we are just a small place a long way away that speak a funny language....!

Are they a Scottish company, when I called db they gave me their main distro and repair Centre number for uk and if I recall right they were in Scotland

They weren’t interested either 😂

this very timely ,  I have an RCF art705as sub with a broken Digipro 600m ,  the PSU is faulty ( i guess amp board is fine).
do you have a schematic for the 600m ? ( i can only source the 1000s online) . thanks in advance

great got it , thanks very much.

just to check , is the schematic you've sent for a '600m PSU'?
quickly looking at the psu module in front of me it appears different , eg mine has 2x1000uf capacitors after the rectifier rather than '470uf' in the drawing sent.
mine is revision 3.1.

thanks again

Do you have any contact info for Matrix? Tried looking online but couldn't find anything to do with speaker repair... Thank you! :)

If it helps I've got two dB S118's that have been deemed 'unrepairable', would much rather have the modules repaired than replaced!

Hi, who's successfully repaired Digipro modules ?
I've got a digipro1000 on the bench at the moment, SMPS is GOOD, Output FETs are GOOD.
Won't start with the O/P FETs in, No swithching waveforms on the FET gates on either channel.
I'm about to replace the IRS20957S drivers but seems a bit odd that i'm getting nothing on both channels, so its possible the shutdown is active.
LED 1 and 2 are lit, but their function is not labelled on the board or schematic.

any help apreciated :-)

Hi, what could be wrong with Opera 712DX amplifier module? It is from dBtechnologies active speaker. RED LED blinks 7 times and pause, 7 times and thats all... No sound, nothing.. All Mosfets are good, checked, PSU and NTC protection voltages all are OK.. Could be software problem? 24LC256L memory is OK. How to full reset processor, PIC16F689? Could someone repaired it and could Help to me??
