I’ve got a box of used socapex cable mount plugs/sockets if you wanted to make up your own cables?

A good Solder Pot helps a lot, it makes tinning the wires very easy.
And two small bench vises, one to hold the cable and the other to hold the connector while soldering.

Always start in the middle :)

Easier to start at the bottom with the solder cups aligned the “right way up” and work your way from bottom to top IMO

If you start in the middle it just makes doing the bottom ones of the outer ring a complete PITA

Fair enough, different ways same result I am sure :)

I remember the first one I ever done, done the outer pins first. Was a reall ball ach!

As long as you end up with a naked cat at the end, who’s complaining? 😂

Bet that was an enlightening experience!
