Salute!

Recently got my hands on a hd215 (double hd15 bin). As replacement for our ported kick bin we had.

Drivers don't fit yet, because a little error in cutting I guess. We can definitely cut out some wood next to the lid to make this work.

An other problem I now face, is that I don't really see where to run the wiring. Since the 2 drivers in 'seperate' bins, how would I connect this?

Do I put 2 speakon plates on the backside of the cab, then link the 2 drivers with a short piece of speakon cable everytime we play? Would look strange, but I don't see any other option other than drilling a hole through all the panels, but then you'd see a cable running through the horns of the bin. How did you manage this?

Also, since the cables will be running in front of the driver, do you fix them there in one way or another? I don't want the cable to be touching my driver in any way.

Looking forward to any ideas!

bless

When i build the for customers i wire like the pic with red line...

i drill hole in the middle deflectors, then i run the cable along at the back of the mouth bracing, so it cant be seen,

to the next driver...pretty simple bro tbh...

the cable bit further down the than the actual red line , if yu get me bro

So you also drill a hole in the plate where the driver sits?

Never had any trouble with the wire causing rattle against the driver or rattling because it's just in front of the driver?

Your builds are very beautiful! Love the cutouts in the center 'dividing' panel. Ours is full at the moment.

Will at the moment loa dit with beyma gt200 bc of lack of other drivers and some money at the time. For 200watt they do pack a punch, curious what that'll give

thanks for the response; Gwaan dub specialist!

the double is just 2 singles stuck together.

no disrespect meant but if you can't work out how to make a double from the single plan.. then you probably won't be able to build either.

It's about me just giving the plan to a carpenter and he said he wants the plan as a whole. In addition, I have seen this cut in the middle of some pictures and I want to have it that way too

Just build two singles, a whole lot easier to move and lift for about the same output.
If you get some experience with these you can always build a double or just screw them together Thumbs Up

+1 for 2singles. Unless you're a large touring company it makes more sense any way you look at it.

Yep, I agree with the above, I own both doubles & singles and would only ever build singles again. It's not a light box when loaded with a big ferrite driver like the PD154 and stacking doubles on your own is a pain when you need to get them more than 1m off the ground.
