| b&c 12ndl76 or bms 12n610 get the best reviews it seems! Compression driver-wise depends how much you wanna spend. I think lots of people use bms 4554 or similar |

I suggest if budget allows I would go to a 3 inches with 1.4 throat driver, 4554 even if 1.4 throat is just a 1.75 comp.
In my experience with mt121 this allowed to lower the crossover and get more uniform dispersion. Good horns could be 18sound xt1464 if you plan more a side, or rcf 950 horn for one cab a side. Good cheap comps could be 18sound nd1460 or rcf 950, the 1.4 exit version.

| These are heavy, consider also splitting mids and highs in two boxes. The CD box can be very light. |

For years my mate used B&C DE85 with expensive B&C ME75 Horn. Replaced DE85, with Beyma CP750TI on same horn, and was vast improvement. Beyma CP750TI on PAudio PH4525 2" horn, was also very impressive, and with flattening eq,had perceivable content above 15khz. ------------- Global Depopulation - Alive and Killing. |

The 4554's may only have a 1.75" diaphragm but one of those is more than capable of keeping up with a horn loaded 12, if crossed at 1.2khz one will provide more than enough spl above a pair of horn loaded 12's and sound sweet doing it. The 4550 1" is actually identical bar the throat size and sounds sweeter at high frequencies but at the cost of some mid range spl.
