We know there are dreamers on FB, other sites, asking upto £3K. Meanwhile, I have 2x people offering me units for £2200 each. 3x years ago, you could get them used for £2500, was thinking now they are obsoleted by X series, asking price would be lower than £2200? ------------- Global Depopulation - Alive and Killing. |

From what I have seen prices have risen over the last 6 months. Or maybe thats just people expectations have risen.

Back on topic. The K20 is advertised new if you know where to look for £3000 and you can probably get a bit off that too.

[/QUOTE Talking to people I know who have sold up because of the situation it's an ego thing, they don't want to appear to be desperate so are pricing things like the market is normal, a friend who didn't care what others thought sold his whole very high end kit for what he could get, kep the kids fed got a regular job and moved on with life, each to their own.

Mate in North London has K20 DSP, he is asking approx £2700. After hearing X4L a few times, have decided if I ever buy a Powersoft, would be one of those. Meanwhile I have been quietly acquiring QSC PL380s, intended for use with with 2x 4 ohm drivers per channel. ------------- Global Depopulation - Alive and Killing. |

Don't think so, he doesn't need to. Powersoft used K20 pricing, has been quite illogical, for approx 12x months now.

A lot of the problem at the moment is supply on new stock. At the moment we are waiting 4 months on delivery of most Powersoft touring product, installation product is usually quicker as they are prioritizing those lines for the currently very busy installation market. So, long lead times are bolstering used prices as in many cases you simply can not buy new stock immediately or even in the near term and therefore people are choosing to sit on stock they would normally replace with new for risk of running out of stock on what is going to be a very busy year for live events K20 as far as i am aware is more or less out of active production now, it is very much a legacy product that does not integrate from a network/control/dsp/signal point of view with the rest of the product line. If they are making any new units it will just be from the remaining parts. Its very much a sellers market. csg is spot on. Powersoft have manufacturing issues on current amp models because of component crisis (from what I've been told ...) , they can not deliver to distributors instantly, there is a huge waiting time. The K series is discontinued. Prices of K series went down because people started moving to the new ones. Now that the new ones can't be sourced easily, people either wait or buy 2nd hand K series, that make the price rise again.
