I love F1 sound but i cant afford them and also i start reading in some forums that today there are better solutions. Sooo i start looking line array speakers and i found SubZero HiCast.. Do you have something to say about them? I need them for parties outside and inside and also im listening a dub, minimalistic music nothing to do with EDM or any kind of year rape. Big smile

The best feature I see listed here is the 3 year warranty.

yes i understand. Im starting from 0 i even dont have the money for this(im taking it with financing)  but since i know my self im always overplaning and on the end something rly impotent is coming an im spending the cash. So back on the topic.. that sound system is modular and i can add in the future and change it step by step.. also i think its better them jbl eon so i can rent it in my city for small mid events (i have used the jbls and it was 4/10 xp)..
im planing a couple of small festivals outdoor this summer 50/150 ppl but i can say for sure because we have had success with the last parties and we host more ppl than we were planing. In septemer we will continue the festivals in our own location which is around 400sqm
Thank you for your help :)

Imho, a more sensible modular approach would be to buy a good pair of 12"+horn speakers, an amp and a pair of stands. You could then add an 18" active sub, or a passive one and another amp at a later date.

I have 2 jbl jrx 118s and was thinking about taking 2 12s but last time they were not enough at all.. and some of the djs were going in to the reds.. even the owner of the bar was coming and asking if it can be louder.. everyone has dance but we needed more 4 sure... Can u give me some tip with new speakers. i want to take them with financing option.

JRX 118 is entry level stuff from JBL, but with a good amp, a sensible high pass filter and and a mixer or preamp that won't easily distort I can pretty much guarantee they will beat that Sub Zero offering by a country mile.  I would consider something like EV SX300 and Peavey IPR2 amp with DSP. You could either go in/out on the subs, or maybe go mono and use the subs on one channel and the tops on the other. I think the amps DSP allows this sort of configuration.
Which amp(s) and 12s did you use with the JRX subs?

There is a Crest Audio Prolite 3.0 DSP amp for sale on a popular auction site for not a lotta cash. It's the same as the Peavey IPR2 DSP,  and has independent crossovers for each channel, so that and a pair of SX300s with your 118 subs might be a good way to get started.

Start as a local stagehand or member of a crew. Learn, learn a lot, learn even more. And read. And keep your money in your pocket, and learn even more. Do this for a few years and return to here with the questions you still have.

Hmm i dont want to be a member of a crew :D and i dont want to adapt brand thinking. thats why im here and im asking. There are different opinions.

Before you push the button, please give us a list of all the equipment you already have. Amps, speakers, mixer, other audio sources etc.

I would recommend not using the pole/top hat arrangement with the subs and SX300. Use a pair of stands and put the subs together inbetween them. You will get a useful boost in sub output that way. Also, don't try and get too much out of those subs. A high pass at 45hz will allow them to go a bit louder without distorting.

To compare Funktion One to that Toy Line Array is Crazy.

I bought it second hand to try it as it's not possible to make and sell a line array that actually works at this price point with decent drivers... it's not a proper line array, it doensn't work as a line array, it doesn't hive wide dispersion either, and most of all it sounds absolutely terrible.  Here is my review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IBdq3zlYFd0&ab_channel=MinistryMedia

Thanks for that review. Those drivers really do look like 100cm coax car speakers. Without any HF horns, they are pretty useless for PA purposes. Were you using them with the sub and built in amp? If not, the only thing I would say is that the dedicated system may have some DSP that could possibly make them sound a little better, but I doubt much.
One last thing... Why were you holding back? Tell us what you really think! LOL

Hello everyone. Has anyone tested this sound system at outdoor events? I'm curious if it would handle a small music event with a DJ for 200-250 people? Thanks for the reply.

Just noticed the title of this thread this morning and I have not stopped laughing since----I thought it was a review of a new FISHING REEL like something that you may see on Whitehouse and Mortimer Gone fishing and just as funny---I just hope that we have a few part time anglers on the forum to understand what I am on about or I will look a right old pillock!!!!!!

That subwoofer is almost useless with the ,,original 3inch drivers" good for room listening at its best! However the power amp is quite capable and if you stick in two Beyma 12LX60V2 it will make a lot of 18inch subwoofers to sound like a chinese toy just made in someones garage! Ofcourse you'll need to pull another 400£ out of your pocket for the Beyma's....and ofcourse the sub will weight a lot more, but the sound is brutal even in open space!
The cab is great, the amp is good and powerfull, the dsp is great but those drivers are nothing but a joke in spl....well...good for the price what can i say.
