Just picked up a pair of flares, but can't find any info on them. Flares are 23 1/2 High, 30 Wide and 16 Deep. Designed for a 15-inch Speaker. Thanks for any info anyone might have.

I don't remember Gauss making anything like that, and I can't find anything in my file of Gauss / Cetec lit (which goes back as far as 1970). The only horns I'm aware of were for 2" drivers.

The stickers were generally available and often came with the speakers, so they don't necessarily mean the horns were supplied by Gauss.

Thanks! You just confirmed what little I could find. Didn't post but had serial numbers Tapco 3004 and Tapco 3007. Thanks!

Looks like an community horn to me. Google community leviathan and/or vb790. Both not entirely unlike.

Hard to see as the writing is small, but in this photo the Gauss logo doesn't look like the normal one used on their speaker drivers, but says "Gauss by Crest Audio".

Maybe this is a clue?

It's "Gauss by Cetec Audio". Cetec was the corporation that owned Gauss when they made many of their classic speakers.

Tapco was a company founded by Greg Mackie, later owned by ElectroVoice. Maybe the horns were from one of their products, prior to the EV ownership?

One more layer to go through....Electro-Voice is now and has been for awhile...part of Bosch Communications and Sound, or something like that.
