I havent but +1 for interest , actually looking more at the k2200 which isnt in the elements range but same manufacturer. |

Word of advice 'bredrin.. In testing, Macrotech MA3600VZ, ran out of steam trying to drive 4 ohm 1852 on 1x channel. That was proper 1500W, from respected Transformer amp, not enough for "1KW" driver. So really "suggest", you "test" any lightweight of interest, before buying. EDIT:Also just remembered, Kutty told me, Bridged QSC 4050HD, across 2x 8 ohm PD1852, "Clipped", before powering drivers to their full potential. Further example, of very serious amps needed, to fully power big man drivers, for Roots Reggae.

No problem sah. Many don't know, in many designs of cabs, total impedance of cab + driver, exceeds nomial impedance of just driver. E.g. 2x Scoops loaded with 8 ohm driver each, can be seen on Powersoft K20 DSP, as "6 ohm load", not 4 ohms as expected !!! So if total impedance per channel exceeds expectation, situation is agravated, by sub amplifier not producing output power at 40hz, that is in specs, for 1khz burst. Which is why many lightweights rated at 4K per channel @ 4 ohms, are outperformed by Void Inf8 Mk2, which is rated at 2.5kwpc @ 4 ohms.
In summary, if not buying Powersoft, get most respected, most powerful, lightweigh sub amp you can afford, and test before buying. ------------- Global Depopulation - Alive and Killing. |
