I'm in need of a primary condenser lens (the big fat one) for a K4 projector.  No response from opti and optifanatics.com have been showing them as unavailable for ages.

I can probably approximate the original lenses dimensions from the broken remains but thought it was worth a try here to see if anyone had one.

I assume a condenser lens from a kodak slide projector will be similar and as I have a few of these still this will be my first step if I can't find a drop in replacement.

Thanks in advance.

Have you tried phoning Opti? They’re back in the office now…

The condenser lens from a kodak S-AV 2000 slide projector  dropped straight in. Thumbs Up

I found the dichroic heat shield is cracked too, so I need to replace that as well but I'm sure I have some squirreled away somewhere

That’s a solid plan — repurposing a lens from an old Kodak slide projector could get you surprisingly close, especially if you're comfortable experimenting with focal length and alignment. Still, it’s worth checking with specialist repair forums or even surplus optical suppliers — sometimes they have what eBay doesn’t.

And if you ever end up refurbishing and selling vintage projectors or parts online, having dependable https://fulfilio.com/en/offer/logistics-for-e-commerce/ - logistics for e-Commerce in place can help you ship delicate optical components safely and efficiently to collectors or AV techs.
