So as I'm sure quite a few of you know, when Apple released Venture, the removed Firewire support making many home and pro studio kit useless... very annoying. I've used an Edirol FA101 as my DVS system for my MWM Wave devices and after loads of searching I've managed to get it going again by installing the missing kext file that they removed with the help of the mac developers forum.

So all good... no... whilst I can get timecode from the Wave devices to the inputs with no issues and I can control the tracks in Rekordbox from the Wave system, I don't seem to have access to anything other than the master outputs so I can't actually mix with the system. I'm not going to stop playing vinyl and I'm also not going to swap my Formula Sound mixer to one with built in DVS and yet more built in obsolescence...

Does anyone have an idea how to solve this? Ideally a software solution as money is very tight at the moment. My other option is to buy a different external dvs system but from what I can see the Rane SL2, 3 and 4 systems are also no longer supported and I'm struggling to find a multi channel external soundbox that isn't stupidly expensive....

blah blah blah blah blah......
