Hey everyone,

I’m just starting out and really want to learn more about acoustics and the ins and outs of sound system building. I've been around these monsters for a while and been involved with building a couple hog scoops previously, but I have very limited experience on the sound/electrics side. 

The plan is to put together a small setup to begin with — probably a couple of horns and a midtop; what they will be is still very unclear to meat this point as I am yet to find out more about different designs. Will be used mainly for electronic, sub heavy stuff (techno, trance, hardhouse, etc). The idea is to hopefully grow over time, maybe link up with people and let it sort of grow organically.

I’d love to build the subs myself. The scoops I've worked on before were done without the help of a mighty CNC machine , but this time it'd be great to have access to one. Any advice on affordable CNC cutting services, or, even better, affordable woodworking workshops in/around Bristol would be grand. Would also love to hear from other people who have built cabs the DIY way!

Any advice on a good starting point for something like this would be great. Also, I’d be proper happy to link up with others in/around Bristol who are into this stuff. Always easier (and way more fun) learning with other people who share the passion.
