I have a general question for you all.
I had a smaller TV a few years back where I could fit a pair of ORB speakers in parallel on each side for center channel.
Now? I have a larger OLED with no side space. Looking around, all I can find are smart bars and thicker (3"+) direct connecting speakers that will block the screen.
I have had issues trying to coordinate a semi-smart receiver with a smart TV and smart speaker and I would rather just wire it directly and be done with it.
So. Two solutions, as I see it.

1. Get something to elevate the TV enough to put a thicker bar in front of it or underneath it.
2. Get a thinner speaker.

2 would apply to 1 as well. The thinner the speaker, the less the TV would need to be raised.

Thoughts/suggestions?

Raising the screen a little sounds a lot less effort than custom building something (or sourcing a less mainstream product) that might not integrate as well with your existing ecosystem.

You'll almost certainly get more experienced advice on forums such as diyaudio.com & avsforum.com BTW - speakerplans is a lot more focussed on gig type speakers rather than domestic.

HTH & good luck,
David.
