but am struggling to understand the markings. is it F = 27 so 27nf or F .27 so maybe 270nf or something else ? can anyone with more experience with these things offer any insight |

| Is this on the light driver or the voltage display board? Most of the Furmans I’ve been inside only really have MOV’s across the supply, a very expensive box of not much |

Neither , those are on seperate pcb's , this has a main board with a relay , the capacitor and relay are right at the front of the circuit on this board and i'm not getting any power past the relay.

That's 27nF, 400V. Maybe used for "direct" AC-DC connection to power the relay? Often seen on LED bulbs, etc... ------------- Earplugs Are For Wimps! |

Thank you Yes "Capacitor --> bridge rectifier --> low power DC circuit" is basically what i am seeing.

Ok, cool. One thing -- there should also be a (high value) resistor in parallel with the capacitor. Make sure that that is also ok. ------------- Earplugs Are For Wimps! |

thank you , i've given it a thorough check over and a new cap from RS and were up and running again
