The recent discussions on Celestions new 24" driver has me craving for some new fat bottomed girls. I really don't think I can justify the £1150 asking price for them though. I'm thinking of buying a pair of 24s to supplement my 4x 18 single reflex cabs. They would only be in single reflex cabs themselves. Does anyone have any experience or recommendations for some cheaper 24s? My spare amps to drive them atm would be a Cloud VTX 1200, C-Audio GB602 or a Crest 4801, any of which would need to be bridged to deliver a realistic figure of around 1200w@4ohms. Currently I'm using 4x Crest CA6 bridged to drive 4x Celestion FTR 4080 HDX and Crest CA9/CA4 to biamp a pair of double Celestion FTR15s +2" Celestion HFs. LMS is DBX Driverack 260 which should allow for mono overlapping subs etc.
I'm prepared to seek out a Crest CA18 for the 24s but I would rather use what I have.

Why not just get some 21's instead? You will find more options that would fit within your budget.
