Hi peeps, how do you guys wire your scoops?

Do you zig zag the cable through the horn path? Do you fix it with cable clips? Do you make a small hole in the baffle?

Thanks 😊

In general, the shortest path from A to B. If that means going thru internal panels, so be it. Small holes is then sealed with a sealent. NOT silicone based!

I zig zag the cable through the horn path because its easier to do that drilling holes and filling them but I am lazy and either way will work. Just make sure you leave enough slack on the cable so that you have enough length to take the driver out whilst it is still wired in.

Do you staple them in?   I'm currently at this step in my build and I'm not sure if I should attach them to the baffle or do a hole through.
I still have my one side off because of this.

I have never seen a commercial cabinet where cables are stapled.
If the wires don't have a straight path from input socket to speaker, then the wires has always been put thru holes in panels and firmly fix with some kind of hot clue.

I've seen cork used to good effect as well in stead of glue

Old OHM TRS 218 did this

No cork like in wine bottles used like a bung. Unusual but was effective.

Think we might have lost a few posts.  I'm only seeing posts from 24 hours ago.

Yes, I did reply to you saying that I'd never heard
of that use in speakers.
